Support for Conference

Purpose
Assist in funding tribology-related conferences which are expected to contribute to global / regional development of tribology
Conditions of Receiving Grant
The purpose of the conference must be for the purpose of the free exchange of scientific and engineering information on tribology, and not for the purpose of business profit.
Memorial and similar one-time conferences may be supported and are eligible for application. In the case of regularly held conferences, only sessions that are special sessions, symposia, or other exceptional events may be eligible for support.
However, any conference that has received a TTRF grant in the past five years will not be eligible for a grant until five years has past.
Note: It is possible to apply for both ”Support for Conference” and “Support for Young Tribologists” at the same time.
Amount of Grant
Total amount : Maximum US$10,000 / year
Procedure
Only the conference organizers can apply for this support. No definite due date for application is set, but on a first-come-first-served basis.
Application form must be downloaded from the link below. Submit the application form filled out necessary items.
Selection and Funding
Selection is made at the board of directors meeting.
If selected, the grant is funded upon request to the conference organizers.
Grant Report
Grant Report describing the conference must be submitted within six months following the conference.
TTRF does not specify the format of the report. Another report of the conference already created may be used as Grant Report but it should consist of following items:
  1) Conference information (Name, Period, Venue, Host organization)
  2) Contents (Memorial/Special issue, Technical/Social program, etc.)
  3) Epochs through the conference if any
  4) Number of participants and lecturers (In total, In each country)
  5) Use of the grant in the conference
  6) Satisfaction level of the TTRF grant
